2Must buy other items to use it BEWARE
By Josshe
The item description did not make it clear that the camera does not come with any cabling, power supply or male/female BNC adapter. With the items necessary to operate the camera not included, makes this a poor investment choice. The unit overall is very loose and plastic which make me question its longevity and endurance. If I'd known I would have to purchase other items to use it, I would have spent a few more dollars to get a camera that would've came with the power supply, 60ft of cable and better instructions and save myself a lot of frustration, delays, and deflated expectations.I felt they could've informed us that additional items are needed to get the camera going and that way we could have collected the necessities.I think I'm going to return this unit as the description and the instruction leaves out pertinent information. If I have pay return shipping which I think I should not since I was mislead, I will not be a happy camper.

4Exactly what I needed
By Renocoyote
The camera works great once you tinker with it and the DVR to figure out how to set it up (minor hiccup, inbetween the provided instructions and youtube videos I was able to quickly figure it out). I have a Zmodo 8 camera system and wanted a camera indoors to keep an eye on my mischevious dog. This works great for that. I access my system through the internet or on my Android phone and have been able to pan around and find out what she is into and more importantly how she was getting into "no no" places lol. It also works great to keep an eye on the interior of the house on the few times I get to take a vacation or just to check in on things when I'm at work. As stated earlier, there is no zoom feature which would be nice but not expected on a camera in this price range. The picture is as good as the cameras that came with the original system. You will need to purchase some 18 gauge two strand (speaker type) wire to hook up the pan and tilt feature. The camera hooked up to the existing BNC and Power cable that the original camera was using. you can still only run a maximum of 8 cameras on the 8 camera system, which makes sense. So you probably won't need to order an additional BNC/power cable unless you want a longer one than what came with the original Zmodo system. So what you end up with is a camera just like the original but you get the ability to move it around and see more. I live in a small house and found a central location that allows me to see almost my entire interior house just by panning around. I am very happy with the picture quality and range of motion. The cruise feature, again takes some trial and error to set up, but once set up it and activated it will run through your pre-set "watch" areas by itself. Even when its in cruise mode and you check in via your smart phone, the remote controls on your phone will "over-ride" the cruise and let you see what you want to see. Then it goes back to cruising when you step off. Considering that the next price scale up from this camera is in the multi hundreds, this is an excellent purchase.

4Good Indoor Security Camera - Recommeded
By C. F. Hill
This Zmodo Indoor Security Camera provides that ability to Pan and Tilt (no Zoom, so not PTZ) when connected to my Zmodo Surveillance System with 8 Weatherproof IR Cameras PKD-DK0865-NHD. This is a decent, but low-end camera that provides image quality that is about the same or slightly better than the cameras that came with my system but with ability to "Cruse" automatically or be controlled from the system interface (either directly or remotely). The box includes the camera, a ceiling mounting plate (no screws), and an install guide. Connecting the camera to the main unit requires an additional extension cable (not included) since the connection cable off the back of the camera is very short, but this was expected. To make the camera work with my system was fairly straight forward, I just configured the system PTZ options to match the camera's default settings and it worked right away.Pros:+ Setup; Basic configuration was easy+ Image Quality; Good enough for basic security needs in both bright and dark settings (but see "Cons" below)+ Value; Reasonable for a Pan/Tilt camera+ Options; Can be made to do everything we need it to doCons:- Washed Out Colors; Colors are somewhat muted, but my system allows each camera to be individually adjusted for Hug, Saturation, and Contrast in the controls to get the best possible picture for the lighting conditions- Night Vision; Limited range, less than 30' so we have installed nightlights in the shop area to improve the image quality at nightOverall, I am very pleased with the camera and the functionality for the relatively low price.Recommended!CFH
