I purchased one of these to monitor who went up or down my driveway. My driveway is over 100 feet long and even at night I can see activity at the end. The resolution is not so good I could read a license plate but during the day it is a pretty decent picture. Resolution drops at night,but I can still clearly see the deer that wander by sometimes. The case seems pretty solid, but I did install it under the eave so that it is somewhat protected from the elements.Setup was easy. Really plug and play. After the camera initialized and I was able to connect to it I did go into my router so that I could reserve the same IP port anytime it restarts. Easy to access from any PC-based browser, but didn't have much luck with the browser on my Android tablet. I just downloaded IPCam Lite (free) and that works perfect for viewing. I don't like a lot of extraneous software on my PC and it is not necessary to even load the CD that came with the camera.The lens on this one has a narrow field of vision, which was perfect for my application. However, I will likely be buying one or two more to cover more areas of my property. Those may be a wider angle.

Pros - Easy to set up via POE, image quality is descent, night image good as well.Cons - The enclosed mounting bracket is inadequate for a side of the house mounting, can't overlay text onto the image (date & time would be nice).

I needed an external POE camera and this Foscam was a perfect solution at this price point. I use my cameras with the Foscam Pro app for iPad which allows remote viewing and recording iPad and iPhone.
