Not a bad camera at all. Since it costs relatively little, I bought 5 to spread out between two locations. One does need to be comfortable messing around with router settings and networking in general, but there are alot of previous reviews that do a good job walking through the procedure. Once the correct settings are entered, it works great. Picture quality is good, although it is a little washed out in bright light, and the pan/tilt controls are as responsive as one would expect controlling it over the internet. I have one camera outside under a patio; only time will tell if it holds up to the extremes of temperature in North Dallas. I'm using the ISpy software, which is bit more versatile than the stock software. This camera sure beats the pants of the X10 camera set up I had; that really was like working in the Dark Ages compared to the Wansview and Loftek IP cameras. Bye bye X10.com, time for you to go extinct!

Bought this because x10.com let me down in a big way. Glad they did. The intructions are a bit iffy, but with a bit of practice even a novice (me) can have these up and running pretty quickly. I recommend Blue Iris if you use more than one camera, it will act as a web server so you can view all your cams simultaneously. For the price, they're awesome. I will be buying more for sure.

I purchased this one to be able to monitor what happens in my house while baby sitter / nanny are with the kids. The image quality is good enough for such purpose and the smooth integration with DVR software like iSpy as well as Android applications is very convenient. It has built-in web server so you can connect with a browser to stream video where ever you are (assuming you set port forwarding in your router). The only disadvantage I found is in-ability to turn off the led lights, so when the room is a bit dark, it turns on the lights and surrenders its location. The workaround I found was to tape some piece of dark paper in the shape of a ring that covers the led lights.I was surprised to get a decent image quality even when using a dark glass cover to hide it.Bottom line, very easy to use and install, full of useful features. At that price (~$50) you could not ask for anything better.
